The influence of climate crisis-related media reporting on the eco-anxiety of individuals

Climate change is a critical issue that strongly affects the mental state of many people and often manifests itself as so-called eco-anxiety. Eco-anxiety mainly evoked by media reporting, they are main source information about climate change. In this study, aim was to investigate whether there difference in impact three different types (video, radio, newspaper) on an individual’s eco-anxiety level. By conducting diary study which participants received change-related input at fixed intervals, following key findings can be reported: There between before after intervention. The video intervention shown affect its participants' other interventions showed no effect. A correlation with neuroticism could identified, significant influence pre-media level overall
